Edgetec® Double Disc Anchor Balustrade

The Edgetec® Double Disc Anchor is a traditional 50mm diameter anchor fixing, available in powder coated aluminium and polished or satin stainless steel finishes. For 12 or 15mm toughened glass panels with an interlinking top rail, or 15.2mm or 17.2mm Laminated Glass (with glass clamps) and 13.52mm or 17.52mm SentryGlas® with no interlinking top rail.

Scope

Edgetec® Double Disc Anchor balustrade is suitable for deck and balcony barriers, pool fencing, internal stairways or landings and can be fixed to timber (including waterproof decks), concrete, and steel.

Suitable for:

Residential and Domestic Occupancy types A, A Other, and C3
Commercial Occupancy types B, E, and C3

A hidden fixing detail is standard for Double Disc Anchor fixings.

Limitations on Use

The Edgetec® Double Disc Anchor system must only be installed in accordance with the Edgetec® Double Disc Anchor product manual
Glass must have a minimum strength of 100MPa
All glass edges must be polished
All glass holes must be smooth and free of chips and cracks

Performance

The Edgetec® Double Disc Anchor balustrade system has been engineered and tested by independent engineers to comply with NZ standards AS/NZS1170 and NZS4223.3.2016, New Zealand Building Code B1, B2, F2, F4, F9 and section 162C of the Building Act (pool fencing regulations)

In-Service History

Juralco has over 20 years of experience designing and installing balustrades throughout New Zealand and continues to focus on supporting and developing its dealer network. The Edgetec® Double Disc Anchor Balustrade system was introduced for customers who prefer a traditional disc anchor fixing system, with a choice of either powder coat or stainless steel finishes.

The Edgetec® balustrade range offers a choice of fixing systems for heavyweight glass panels that includes strut posts (Mini Post), rectangular clamps (JH Clamp), a cantilevered channel balustrade (Infinity) and the Double Disc Anchor. An interlinking top rail has been incorporated into the Edgetec® range to comply with new 2016 balustrade regulations — NZS4223.3.2016.
